Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Procedure
Pre-Admission Instructions

1. If you are scheduled to have a stereotactic breast biopsy in our Center, please call your physician's office for your complete pre-op instructions.
2. Please arrive 1 hour prior to your procedure time in order to complete our paperwork & to allow for preparation time for your procedure.
3. Please feel free to bring a book or other reading material with you.
4. Normally, you will be given a local skin anesthetic only for this procedure, so you do not need anyone to drive you home afterwards. However, if your physician is planning on giving you a sedative prior to the procedure, you will need someone to drive you home after the procedure.
5. Contact your physician's office for these instructions. If you have questions about your procedure, please call your physician's office for complete details.
6. Please remember to bring any X-rays or Mammograms you may have been asked to bring.
